The "perfect worker" doesn't exist. Never did.

Yet so many safety systems are built around that assumption, that if people just followed the rules, incidents wouldn't happen.

I'll be challenging that thinking at the Western Conference on Safety 2026 in Vancouver (April 20 & 21) during my session 'Human and Organizational Performance: Moving Beyond the Perfect Worker'.
